Training of RTV Coating for OHL Technicians

Introduction

This training course covers the theory and applications of infrared thermography in the preventive maintenance, quality assurance, condition monitoring and nondestructive testing of materials fields. This training course focuses on qualitative thermography and how to collect data and follow proven and published inspection procedures. Upon completion, participants will be able to capture clear thermograms and make basic inferences and diagnosis. The material includes infrared theory, heat transfer concepts, operation of thermal imaging equipment and specific recommendations on how to make quality thermal images that are clear, concise and easy to interpret. There are several pictures and images and videos exercises built into the training. Completing this Advanced Infrared Thermography training course prepares participants for the basic inspection techniques based on accepted industry and international inspection procedures.

Participants attending this training course will develop the following competencies:

  • Operate an infrared camera
  • Collect quality data
  • Produce professional infrared inspection reports
  • Understand the techniques and limitations of infrared thermography for specific applications
